Day 16 – Visalia at Sequoia Nationalpark to Fish Camp at Yosemite Nationalpark

Our day began with a typical American br“egg“fast in a very nice cafe. We knew that we were right at that place as it was the first time that a cafe was so full that we had to wait for a free table.

Right after breakfast we went from Visalia to Fish Camp near Yosemite Nationalpark. We checked in for our rooms in the hotel and started our Yosemite schedule with the Mariposa Grove which is also well known for giant sequoia trees. It is amazing how big these trees can grow. After a nice hike of 2 hours and due to bad weather (rain, fog, a little cold) and as we anyways did not have any more items on our schedule we decided to take our dinner a little earlier and relax in the hotel for the rest of the day. The Tenaya Lodge offers a nice indoor pool and sauna as well as steambath.
