During our travel in Arizona we came
across a funny game which is only funny in case you don't need to
know which time it is.
Arizona is located in Mountain Time
Zone, which is European Central Time minus 8 hours. So far so good.
This means that Arizona is in the same timezone as Utah which is just
north of it. It also means that Arizona is one hour ahead of Pacific
Standard Time which is valid in Nevada (Las Vegas) and California. As
you know we currently have the daylight saving in place. What you
might not know is that Arizona does not have the daylight saving time
which means that it is in the same timezone as California and has one
hour difference to Utah at this time of the year.
In order to make it a little more
complicated we found out that the Navajo Indian reservations do have
the Daylight Saving times although these are located in Arizona while
the rest of Arizona does not have Daylight Saving. Can you still
follow?
We were a little confused as we were
changing between Arizona, Utah, Nevada, California and the Navajo
reservations. It is not at all easy to know which time is valid at
which place.
